The Home
In addition to the luxurious rooms, residents and guests may enjoy a large cosy lounge, one where they may enjoy the company of other residents over a cup of tea and cake, or movie evening. Our residents may also enjoy our delicious menu, carefully selected each season to ensure that their nutritional needs and preferences are catered for. As well as a selection of cakes and savoury snacks freshly prepared by our chefs daily.
If you feel like being pampered, we offer a weekly pamper day for our residents. Our pamper day is run by our very own carers who spend time offering manicures, hand massages and hair styling to make you feel special. We also benefit from our very own hairdressing service which residents may enjoy each week.
Here at Oaklands Care Home, we are eager to build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with our community. That is why everything we offer is open to the community, from our weekly coffee mornings, visits from our local church, to a visiting volunteer. Hospitality
Our Head Chef and the team pride themselves in serving up true “home-cooked” meals, and nothing “pre-cooked” is served at Oaklands. Every meal is lovingly prepared on-site daily, using local fresh produce and seasonal vegetables. Fresh fish, meat, chicken, and dairy are sourced daily from independent suppliers allowing our Chef to prescribe the quality desired.
Our menus are carefully planned by our Head Chef and Head of Care quarterly, and whilst all meals have to offer our residents a balanced diet, nutrition, taste, and presentation are important elements. Our Care System flags up special dietary needs and this informs our Chef to further tailor our meals to our resident’s preference or requirement. For example, those suffering from Diabetes or experiencing difficulty swallowing, are diligently catered for.
You can enjoy a hot cup of tea with our freshly baked cakes looking out the garden from our quiet lounge, join the other residents in the dining lounge or in the comfort of your own room.
All our delicious confectionery is baked daily on-site using real butter, full cream, and all the other decadent ingredients that our residents deserve. Even our yoghurt, mousses, trifle, and other tantalising desserts are freshly made on site. Isn’t that what “high tea” was supposed to be all about? Naturally, this is one of the highlights of our residents’ day.

What Do Our Clients Say About Us?
Have had previous experience of care homes and I would rate this one very highly indeed. They are a very caring environment and interact really well with the residents. There is always a good staff presence and they are always interacting with the residents.
The home is welcoming, clean and a good place to visit. My dad’s face lights up when staff comes to him which for me is a wonderful testament to how happy he is there.
The care and attention that is given to my brother is marvellous. He is treated exactly how I would expect him to be if he were still home with me. We recently had the pleasure of attending the home annual hog roast. 10/10 to the management and carers for putting on such a lovely event.
